Field Map and Setup

Overview

Every division plays a part in getting the fields ready on game day. For 6U and 8U, head coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers are asked to help set up fold-a-goals and corner flags before the opening game β€” each team handles their own side of the field. For 10U, 12U, and JH/HS, the permanent goals are already in place, so setup is just corner flags β€” four per field. Those divisions should wait until all 6U and 8U games have finished before setting up, since the younger divisions use those same field areas first.

6U and 8U Setup Responsibilities

We're asking that 6U and 8U coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers help set up the fold-a-goals and corner flags for their team each game day. If parents want to lend a hand too, they are absolutely welcome!

It takes four to six people nearly an hour and a half to get all the 6U and 8U fields ready for the opening game. When each team pitches in and sets up their side, it takes just a few minutes per field, and we're all done before the first whistle. That's a huge difference, and we genuinely appreciate your help making it happen.

8U Northwest Fields and 6U Northeast Fields

This covers 8U Fields A, B, C, and D (northwest) and 6U Fields A, B, and C (northeast).

βš™οΈ Setup β€” Before the Opening Game
  • Each team places two corner flags on their side of the field.
  • Each team sets up one fold-a-goal on their side of the field.
  • This should be completed before the opening game begins.
πŸ“¦ Takedown β€” After the Opening Game
  • Once the opening game wraps up, each team takes down their two corner flags and their goal.
  • Place the goal in its bag and bring everything to the storage pod in the southeast corner of the east parking lot.

8U Southeast Fields

This covers 8U Fields E and F (southeast). These fields are different because they can have back-to-back games.

βš™οΈ Setup β€” Before the Opening Game
  • Each team places two corner flags on their side of the field.
  • Each team sets up one fold-a-goal on their side of the field.
  • This should be completed before the opening game begins.
πŸ“¦ Takedown β€” After the Second Game
  • Do not take down goals or flags after the opening game unless a 10U game follows yours. These fields run a second set of games immediately after, but depending on the day, they can be 8U or 10U games.
  • After the final set of 8U games, each team takes down their two corner flags and their goal.
  • Place the goal in its bag and bring everything to the storage pod in the southeast corner of the east parking lot.

Thank you for pitching in and helping make game day great! πŸ₯…
