⚽ AYSO Region 138 – Opening Weekend Recap & Reminders

Our first Saturday of games is in the books, and it was awesome seeing so many kids back on the fields. A few quick highlights and reminders:

🙏 Thank You

To all the coaches, refs, and families who made opening day run smoothly.

👏 Volunteer Shoutout

Our Coach Administrator and our Treasurer put in countless hours these past two weeks to launch the season. They handled the Jr. Peach Days parade, prepped coach equipment, ran player equipment pickups, helped families with registration issues, built rosters, supported volunteers, and a stack of behind-the-scenes details. Region 138 is lucky to have them.

📏 Sidelines

Please set up at least 6 feet back from the sideline so players have room to keep the ball in and so play is not affected. If a coach or referee asks for a little more space, thanks for helping out.

👕 Jerseys

Home team wears red. Away team wears blue. The home team is listed first on your schedule.

🗑 Trash & Belongings

Please double check your sideline after games and take everything with you. Trash should go in the bins, and make sure players grab water bottles, jackets, and gear. The lost and found inventory grows each week.

🧑‍⚖️ Youth Refs

Many of our referees are teens who are learning and improving just like the players. Their calls are final. Thanks for encouraging them.

⏱ Arrive Early

Please have players at the field 15 minutes before game time for warmups. Teams are checked in 5 minutes before the match so games can start on time and end on schedule. Games end about 5 minutes early to clear the field for the next teams. Starting 15 minutes late means a 25% drop in play time for both teams.
